Those red lights on the VU meters where it says "over" = bad. See if there are any icons appearing in addition to the already existing ones on your Windows taskbar during music/video playback. Yeah sure, little games and stuff are fine, I don't need that much volume. take a look at your songs there too... The audio problems lasted for a few months and then one day I restarted my computer and they were gone.
