I don't know what will happen but i'm sticking with 8.1 it is just two much trouble to install and go back . So- for other sufferers- Start, Services, Windows Audio, (I stopped and started both) rebooted-then, in screen lower right, ^, rt-click speaker icon, Playback Devices, Speakers,Properties,Enhancements, check Enable Loudness EQ and Enable If you are able to get sound from your television but not the Home Theater please refer to the User Guide for your home theater as the different brands can vary check for driver updates from Windows Update. Thanks for letting me know that we're not the only one suffering! This shouldn't normally be a problem: Blame bad sound drivers if it's causing issues on your system. There may be no option to disable enhancements at all.
