In my experience it is ALWAYS a problem, and the way we get around this is by employing "Direct Hardware Monitoring" The idea behind DIRECT MONITORING is this, since the Again, you are hearing the sound of what you are recording DIRECTly from the hardware (mixer) and therefore no delay!!! This might have something to do with importing tracks from another session (input monitoring gets mucked up in i/O settings maybe?) but there doesn't seem to be any consistency and it's Limit by category This button does not work with screen readers.
