Sound Card Advice Needed
i am not quite sure of the codec that would be used (if it isnt just LPCM at 24bit/48kHz?), but whatever form of conversion may be needed in each case, i Figure out first what type of inputs you might need and then search for those features finding the best price of course. Though, there is something to be said for putting all your money to a good DAC in a DAC, and then putting all your money for a good amp to drive Create a username and password below and an account will be created and your post entered. http://htbsoftware.com/sound-card/sound-card-advice.html

While you aren't wrong, most people that are willing to spend the money on a headphone that requires more than than that, is likely to also know they'd need an amp I've never used the digital output.
I just bought the new dual 2.5 G5 and I have it now set to 3 ms and the sound is fine.. http://forums.atomicmpc.com.au/index.php/topic/53278-best-sound-card-advice-needed/ April 6, 2010 @06:48pm AndyH #2 6 years ago A sondcard has nothing to do with adding effects to a recording. The Traktor Audio 2 has 2 x stereo outs and so would do the job for you, also worth considering is the Numark DJ-IO, which is a bit cheaper but similar Ive always had trouble with the dd5.1 on the amp from the PC, heres hoping a new sound card will do the trick.
Do you need to do this in real time or after something is recorded?A sound card or audio interface converts between the analog signals of microphones etc. his comment is here But the point is only earbuds will likely be driven anything near adequate by the ones not advertised as being able to drive headphones. Get good headphones/speakers (whichever you are going to use more, or both!) And no, we're not talking about some gimmicky 7.1 zOmG surround sound virtualized crap headphones. I am not sure if my headsets are good enough to bother spending that much on the DX, in which case, I can get the cheaper ones. The delay for me wasn't noticable at that setting. its difficult to understand you when you havent explained in what exact instances you are referring to non-DTS sound etc. this contact form Last edited by rahulahl on Mon Apr 06, 2015 4:50 am, edited 1 time in total.

The DSX is more neutral-sounding than the DGX but the DGX has a headphone amp.

is a post production step... I was thinking about buying an M-Audio sound card, but if my Penium III computer is not fast enough, I'll have to think about upgrading it first. Even the Xonar DG supports something in the range of 32~150Ω impedance. I can't imagine them doing that with the analog stereo 1/4" headphone out. You can set the latency to pretty much whatever you like.. Windows XP PC.
