The audio is playing via audio output jack but not from the speakers. but I guess at least I have it working now. I know i can trust this site again. When I checked the box, the value went from 0 to 4096. Thanks for your writing! I then changed the default device to the built in speakers.
Nothing seems to fix this.

I am really hoping that one or a few of you can help me with my issue. I have an HP G60-530us and lost audio. It started after my last Win10 update. At least for the moment I have sound again.
Sound cut out on a few occasions and finally on third time sound went completely dead. Thanks windows. Then when it comes back the sound is gone except when I change the volume slider which gives me a second of sound. Mine is an HP G60-443CL Notebook upgraded from Vist to 7 and then to Windows 10.
I don't know what will happen but i'm sticking with 8.1 it is just two much trouble to install and go back . Go down the list until you see the sound, video, and game controlers [+] sign.
