It won't matter if your speakers are turned up, no sound will come through. I just had to do the uninstall portion and my speakers are working again. The chipset it specific to your computer's processor (Intel XXXXX/etc) - you can try to ID it and then find it online, or e-mail your manufacturer Reply Tesh says: October 26, I'd normally have done the latter any way by now, in the course of my normal work.
If your PC has no sound after you upgrade to Windows 10, the sound driver most probably is removed, corrupted, or incompatible with Windows 10. First, try modifying the Speakers properties. If you don't see the headphones in the list, right-click in an empty space in the list box and select Show Disabled Items. Lastly, if you are connecting headphones and you can't hear anything, but when you disconnect them you can hear sound through the internal laptop speakers, you have to go to the Click Apply and OK to save the change. If the problem persists, try uninstalling and updating the audio driver. Uninstall Audio Driver in Device Manager 1.
