I manually tried again to install the nVidia HD Audio Driver, but obviously didn't work neither. Audio works when tested in Manage Audio Devices. We do, and also an HDMI/MHL which I understand is for mobile devices.

For the majority of consumer setups, there will be absolutely no discernible difference between audio quality when using an HDMI cable or a TOSLINK cable. by R.
